Translogi designs, manufactures, and supplies camera hardware devices that run on local firmware (each, a "Device"). This Privacy Policy explains, in plain terms, what information our Devices do and do not collect, and describes the limited information we may collect if you visit our website or contact us directly. This Policy does not apply to any product that has its own separate privacy policy.

1. Our Data Minimization Principle

By design, our Devices process image and video data locally. Our Devices do not collect, store, transmit, or otherwise process personal information beyond the local network in which the Device operates, and Translogi does not operate a cloud service that receives Device data. We built our products this way, and this Policy reflects that design rather than a general data-collection practice.

2. Information Our Devices Do Not Collect or Transmit

Our Devices do not:

  • Require a Translogi cloud account, and do not upload video, images, or usage data to any Translogi server.
  • Use GPS, GeoIP, or any other technology to determine or transmit the real-time location of a Device, its operator, or any individual captured on camera.
  • Collect or process payment or financial information (such as card numbers) – Devices are hardware products and carry out no payment transactions themselves.
  • Perform cloud-based facial recognition or send biometric data off the Device for matching or profiling.
  • Share, sell, or disclose any data captured by the Device to Translogi, its affiliates, or any third party.

3. How Our Devices Process Data Locally

  • Video and image data captured by a Device is processed and stored on the Device itself or on storage media within your local network (for example, an SD card or a local network video recorder).
  • Devices may support standard local network protocols (such as ONVIF or RTSP) so they can interoperate with a video management system, access control system, or recorder that you operate on your own local network. This exchange takes place entirely within your local network, and is initiated and controlled by you or your integrator.
  • No data captured by the Device leaves your local network unless you, as the Device operator, deliberately configure your own network or third-party integration to do so. Translogi has no visibility into, and no access to, such data.

4. Information We May Collect Through Our Website or Direct Contact

The following applies only to your interactions with our website or with our team directly – not to the Devices themselves.

4.1 Website

If you visit our website, we may collect limited technical information sent automatically by your browser (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) for basic site security and operation, and cookie-type information you can control through your browser settings.

4.2 Direct Contact

If you contact us – for example, for a sales inquiry, technical support, or a warranty claim – we collect the information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, company, email address, and the content of your inquiry.

We do not use GeoIP-based real-time location tracking on our website, and we do not collect payment card information ourselves; where a purchase involves payment, this is handled by our authorized distributors, resellers, or a third-party payment processor under their own privacy terms.

5. How We Use This Limited Information

We use the information described in Section 4 solely to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide technical support or warranty service;
  • Process and fulfill orders placed through our authorized distributors and resellers;
  • Maintain the security and proper operation of our website; and
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements.

We do not use this information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not sell it.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
  • We may share limited information with service providers strictly to operate our website or support systems (for example, email or helpdesk hosting), under confidentiality obligations, and only to the extent needed to provide that service.
  • We may disclose information where required by valid legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Translogi, our customers, or the public.
  • If Translogi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, any personal information described in Section 4 may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality commitments at least as protective as this Policy. Data processed locally by Devices, as described in Sections 1-3, is not held by Translogi and is not part of any such transfer.

7. Data Retention

We retain the limited information described in Section 4 only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have provided to us directly, or to object to or restrict certain uses of it. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Devices and website are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Device Security Recommendations

Because Devices operate on your local network, we recommend that operators:

  • Change default administrator passwords before deploying a Device;
  • Keep Device firmware up to date using official Translogi update channels (see our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy); and
  • Restrict network access to Devices to trusted local networks and authorized personnel.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Translogi may occasionally update this Policy. If we make a material change to how we handle information described in Section 4, we will post the updated Policy on our website with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
